School & Community Programs

school community programs

At Young Smiles Children's Dentistry, we offer two programs for pre-school and elementary school aged children. These programs are designed to educate children about the importance of proper oral health. These programs are fun and entertaining for the children but also are successful in teaching oral hygiene and nutrition. Children will be taught about various topics including teeth, brushing and flossing, healthy eating and snacking, and what they can expect when visiting the dentist. At the conclusion of each presentation, the children will each be given their own dental goody bag.

Program 1: In office tour/presentation: We will schedule a time for you to bring your class in to our office to meet our pediatric dentist and take a tour of our office. This visit helps children learn about oral health, familiarizes them with the dental office and gets them excited to return for their own visit to the dentist.

Program 2: In school/classroom presentation: We will arrange for a member of our staff to visit your school or classroom and give a short interactive presentation to the children. This is often better for larger groups who might find it more difficult to visit our office.

We would love to be an active participant in the education of the children entrusted to your care. Please call our office at 907-452-4509 with any questions or to schedule your educational presentation.
